2,000 students set to graduate from New Mexico State

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – More than 2,000 students will graduate from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces with a bachelor’s degree or other advance degrees.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports two commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday for students receiving their bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the university in southern New Mexico.

A ceremony for the university’s 79 doctoral candidates is scheduled for Friday.

Nearly 1,500 students are expected to receive a bachelor’s degree and 485 students are expected to earn a master’s.

The majority of undergraduate degrees at about 600 will be awarded from the university’s college of arts and sciences. More than 200 diplomas each will be awarded from the university’s business and engineering schools.
