Anthony Tarke will transfer from NJIT to UTEP, per reports

The UTEP men’s basketball team has reported landed highly-coveted transfer guard Anthony Tarke, according to reports.

The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports and WFAN Sports Radio.

Tarke, who led NJIT in scoring last year at just over 15 points per game, will have to sit out next season before being eligible to play in the 2019-20 season.

He had just recently narrowed his list of possible destinations to UTEP, Maryland, and South Alabama, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.

Tarke is listed at 6’6″ and managed to pull in six rebounds per game last season.

NJIT finished 14-16 overall last season with a 7-7 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
