Charges dismissed in case surrounding a constable’s death
ABC-7 confirmed that charges have been dropped against the man accused of causing the death of an El Paso County constable.
Court records show that on Monday, Judge Sam Medrano approved the motion filed Friday to dismiss the charge of aggravated assault against a public servant that was filed against Devon Huerta Person.
The court case against Huerta Person twice ended in a mistrial with the latest happening in March.
He is accused of assaulting Constable Robert White at a haunted house in Canutillo on Halloween night 2014. White later died. The medical examiner found White died as a result of underlying medical conditions.
