Las Cruces Crime Stoppers offers $1K reward to solve robbery of Whataburger

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the man suspected of the May 10 robbery of a Whataburger.

Shortly after midnight, a young man walked into the Whataburger location at 375 S. Telshor Blvd.

He approached an employee and said he was armed. The suspect never displayed a weapon, though.

He then took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the restaurant, heading east toward Home Depot.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his late teens or early 20s, with an unkept or scruffy face. He was wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and no shoes.

A surveillance camera at the restaurant captured an image of him with his shirt pulled over his head.

Anyone with information is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the app store on most devices.

Those who provide tips can remain anonymous.
