No new virus deaths reported; active cases at an all-time high in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- For the second straight day the Department of Public Health reported no new coronavirus-related deaths in El Paso.

The death toll stands at 120, of which 20 of those deaths occurred last week.

Total cases now stand at 4,553 after an increase of 65 new cases. Of that caseload, 3,195 people were listed as having recovered from the virus.

That means the number of known active cases has reached 1,242, which is an all-time high in El Paso.

Hospitalizations decreased from 102 to 95, with 51 patients in the ICU and 18 on ventilators.
