Flowers in bloom at El Paso Municipal Rose Garden

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The roses are in full bloom at the El Paso Municipal Rose Garden as April comes to a close. Many people say April showers bring May flowers, however in El Paso, the warm weather and plentiful sunshine mean the flowers come early.

The garden, located at 3418 Aurora Avenue just across from Memorial Park in central El Paso, is free to the public. It's open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Master Gardeners volunteer to keep the garden looking beautiful. They say there are approximately 1,200 rose bushes of 300 different varieties.
