Alamogordo woman arrested for possession of a large amount of narcotics
ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico (KVIA) --A woman was arrested after she was found to be in possession of almost 400 fentanyl pills, over 6 grams of cocaine, over three grams of methamphetamine, and more than $21,000 in cash.
Officers with the Alamogordo Police Department found 22-year-old Angelica Eunique-Angel Barreras sitting in a vehicle when responding to a disturbance on the 1100 block on N. White Sands Blvd. The officers learned a man had fled the scene.
Barreras was originally released from the scene, but the vehicle was seized for a narcotics investigation. After the officers found the narcotics, an arrest warrant was issued.
Barreras is charged with two counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of forfeitable property. She was taken to the Otero County Detention Center in lieu of a pending bond to appear in Magistrate Court.
