Man Wakes Up To Find He Was Stabbed And Shot

LAS CRUCES– A man is recovering from gunshot and stabbing wounds, but he claims he did not know anything happened to him until he woke up Sunday morning.

Investigators say the 25-year-old man woke up to bloodied sheets. He was stabbed in the abdomen and shot twice in the calf.

According to the man, he encountered several men on his way home saturday night on the 500 Garcia Road. One of them threw a piece of wood at his car.

He then got out of the car to confront them when a fight broke out, investigators said. The man remembers hearing a gunshot but did not realize he was hit.

Officials say he was unable to provide investigators with information about the alleged attackers.
