EL PASO — The TEA released its list of recognized schools and the Socorro and Fabens Independent School District are the highest-rated districts in the county with “recognized” status.

The highest recognition is “exemplary” but no school district earned that distinction. The other districts were rated as “academically acceptable.”

The ElPaso Independent School District is academically acceptable. Nineteen schools were exemplary, and three were ratedacademically unacceptable.

The Ysleta Independent School District isacademically acceptable.Twelve schools were deemedexemplary and no schools were listed as unacceptable.

The Socorro Independent School District wasrecognized as exemplary.Its11 schools were rankedexemplary and none were deemed unacceptable.

The Canutillo Indpendent School District is academically acceptable. Noneof its schools were ranked asexemplary, but none were deenedunacceptable.

The Clint Independent School District was rated academically acceptable. Only one of its schools was rated as exemplary. None were deemed unacceptable.

The Fabens Independent School District wasrecognized. Two of its schools were deemedexemplary. None were rated as unacceptable.

The Tornillo Indpendent School District was ratedacademically acceptable. One of its schools was ratedexemplary. None were rated unacceptable.
