Ft. Bliss Soldier Killed In Iraq

Ft. BLISS, Tx- AnotherUS soldier was killed in Iraq over the weekend, making this the fifth soldier stationed at Ft. Bliss to be killed, in less than a week.

Officials at Ft. Bliss has confirmed 38-year-old Sergent First Class Russell P. Borea of El Paso, is the latest soldier to die in Iraq.

Military officials say Staff Sgt. Borea was seriously hurt and later died after a IED exploded the 9th Province of Iraq.

Thecloseness of the this latest death to the Sun City has many folks in the area voicing outtheir concerns on President Bush’s latest plan to send thousandsof troops to the war.

One El Paso residenttells ABC-7, “I disagree with it,I think we need to pull them out not send more in…they will just die and its not fair for the family and children.”

Sgt. 1stClass Borea leaves behind a wife and a child.

To date, the Associated Press is reporting more than 3,000 US soldiers have died in Iraq.
