Authorities Identify Body Found In Las Cruces
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – Authorities have identified a homeless man found dead on Las Cruces’ east mesa.
Court documents say he is 49-year-old Mark Cobb.
The documents say he was found face down in a pool of blood with puncture wounds and cuts to his throat, and he’d been beaten on the face.
The documents say a witness saw Cobb and another man fighting about five hours before the same witness found Cobb’s body Monday afternoon.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Luis Daniel Alvarez Macias on an open count of murder.
