Tournament Appearance To Benefit NMSU

SPOKANE, WA – NMSU’s entrance into the NCAA men’s basketball tournament will also benefit the Western Athletic Conference.

Dr. McKinley Boston, NMSU’s Athletic Direr tor, tells ABC-7 over the past few years teams that make it into the tournament see an increase in their admissions.

According to Boston, NMSU and the WAC will also benefit financially. Each school will get a $1,000,000 bonus unit for making it to the tournament.

Wins in the tournament will create additional bonus units that will also benefit other conference schools.
