Over 5,000 El Pasoans Without Power
EL PASO, Texas — Between 5,000 and 7,000 El Paso Electric customers are without power throughout the city, said Henry Quintana, an El Paso Electric spokesman.
He said the heaviest hit are customers in the Lower Valley. Strong winds that blew tree limbs into power limbs are causing the outages, and crews are working to repair the damage, Quintana said.
