El Paso Police identify pedestrian killed in Lower Valley crash
El Paso Police have identified the pedestrian who was killed Thursday night in the Lower Valley.
Francisco Gabriel Vasquez, 50, of the 7600 block of N. Loop was killed when he was crossing the 1000 block of Carolina from the north curb to the south curb. At that same time the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling north on Carolina in the right lane.
Police said Vasquez walked into the path of the truck and the driver was unable to stop in time fatally striking the pedestrian. No charges are expected in this case.
Vasquez is the 12th pedestrian fatality of 2012.
