El Paso food bank strives to fill empty bowls

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank hosted its annual “Empty Bowls” event to raise money to provide food for those who need it.

The food bank distributes food to food pantries in El Paso, which then distribute to hungry families.

Staff from 16 restaurants were on hand to serve different types of soups.

Organizers say hunger is a real issue that must be solved.
