Good Morning El Paso: MECHS PSA competition 3

school will be on their way to compete at the state level this week. their mission: to make an impact with a public service announcement on why not being physically active can kill you. good morning el paso’s denise olivas is live to tell us all about it..denise? the students are part of health occupations students of america– or hosa. they were given one phrase– “sitting is death- it’s all about physical activity.” the tea had to creatively portray that theme in a 30 second psa: “wow my actions are going t catch up to me and they’re going to affect my health and i need to do something about it jillian serrano and the rest of her team put this video together and won first place in the local competition last month. tomorrow they travel to galveston for the state competition. this video was shot and edited by them as well. the psa is meant to send a strong message about the consequences of not living an active lifestyle– and could ultimately lead to serious illnesses or death: to get the point across to our audience we decided that we really needed to make it universal, it need to not only touch a student’s perspective but also the perspective of a person who works in an office setting or somone who doesn’t get as much activity as they should to help them win– they need as many shares and likes via social media. i posted their full length 30-second video on the kvia facebook. find it there at share it. authorities
