TxDOT with a message for you: Remember these faces!

The Texas Department of Transportation unveils a new campaign meant to keep its workers safe.

TxDOT is using social media to remind all drivers on the state’s roads that construction crews have families waiting for them to get home safely. Follow @abc7breaking to see a few of the pictures TxDOT is sharing of their employees and their families. The state hopes these faces will make you think twice when driving recklessly through construction zones.

By law, drivers are required to move over or slow down when approaching work crews on the street. Traffic fines in work zones double when workers are present and can cost up to $2,000. Drivers face an even bigger fine if drinking or speeding are the cause of work zone fatalities.
