Las Cruces man indicted for allegedly molesting relative

District Attorney Mark D’Antonio announced that a New Mexico man has been indicted for allegedly molesting a relative.

Ramon Aguirre, 49, was indicted on one count of criminal sexual penetration, a first-degree felony. He was also indicted on two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor, both second-degree felonies.

Investigators with the Sunland Park Police Department said the defendant is alleged to have molested his relative on multiple occasions. The incidents are alleged to have occurred at his home in Sunland Park between January 2012 and October 2014.

If convicted as charged, the defendant could face up to 48 years behind bars.
