NM State Police investigating crash near DACC

morning. it happened just west of dona ana community college’s central campus. abc-7’s jamie warren is live from our new mexico mobile newsroom. jamie? rick and estela, a scary situation for students this morning. dona ana community college was briefly put on lockdown because border patrol agents were chasing a car here on the i10. that car crashed and 4 people who were inside fled on foot into campus. this is what things looked like when we arrived. nmsu police says the four who fled were arrested within minutes and the lockdown was lifted. one officer did suffer minor injuries during the chase. nmsu says they still don’t know why the car was fleeing border patrol. earlier this morning, nmsu said there may be a fifth person on the loose. neither nmsu or border patrol could confirm if they were still looking for an additional suspect this evening. we will update you on air and online as soon as we get more information. live in lc jamie warren abc7 let’s take you outside for a view of the borderland this evening
