Las Cruces home catches fire Monday night
Las Cruces firefighters put out a house fire late Monday evening.
It happened on the 4100 block of La Purisima Drive just after 9:30 p.m. Monday. Firefighters say the saw flames coming from a newly framed home with an open garage. The fire department says the blaze was put out within minutes.
The fire department says the house suffered heavy smoke and fire damage. The damage estimate and cause of the fire are still under investigation. No one was in the house at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
