takedown day. we are working with the u-s marshals service to help them– bring fugitives in. from now until 6-30 — deputy marshals will be here to answer phones and take your tips. let’s go live now to abc-7’s rick cabrera with the latest…. thank you stephanie. and we want to stress … while the next fugitive we are going to profile may not be familiar to you … there are other fugitives listed on the u-s marshal’s website. and you might be able to help capture them. the link is at k-v-i-a dot com, just click on this story. we’re also on facebook and twitter. and we have a toll-free number if you’re calling long distance, 1-800-580- kvia. the u-s-deputy marshals are looking for michael almeralla. investigators say the 26-year-old hangs out in west el paso, but has family in both el paso and las cruces. he faces two charges of aggravated robbery for alleged theft at walmart last christmas eve. according to a criminal complaint, almeralla went into the walmart store near cielo vista with two others and appeared to be the lookout for them as they stole a cellphone case, charger, ink cartridges and windshield wipers. the complaint says almeralla even ate three donuts from the bakery! police say the three left the store without paying for any of the items. when the walmart guards approached them, police say almeralla pulled a knife on them, telling them “i’ going to get you, i’m going to cut you.” chomping on donuts while your buddies swipe merchandise at wal-mart may not be serious to some of you, but just look at the criminal history on 26-year-old michael almeralla: starting in 2008: – resisting arrest, and theft. – assault and injury to a family member, marijuana possession – again, assault and theft. – in 2011, he was accused of violating a protective order. – the next year, again — assault and pot possession and he was accused of possession of marijuana and theft of car parts in 2014 and ’15. almeralla has been in prison before — he’s already served three years. here is another look at him: he is five-feet, eleven inches tall and weighs 200 three years. here is another look at him: he is five-feet, eleven inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. some el paso students spent the day rocking out to
