Sunday Funday Moment: ‘I’m the girl in the back,’ Mariah Carey retweets ABC-7’s Shelby Montgomery

EL PASO, Texas - The internet has an interesting way of making a persons day.

For ABC-7's Shelby Montgomery and Iris Lopez, their day was made last Sunday after pop superstar Mariah Carey retweeted their impromptu karaoke video to her 1994 Christmas hit, "All I want for Christmas is You."

In the video, Shelby asks Iris what's wrong. Iris replies, "I dunno, I'm just not in a good mood today." Shelby then plays Mariah Carey's song in hopes of putting Iris in a better mood.

Mariah Carey retweeted the video last Sunday night writing, "I'm the girl in the back." That girl being ABC-7's weekend assignments desk, Andrea Vasquez.
