Interstate Traffic Closed During Crash Investigation
EL PASO — Police worked for several hours Thursday to clear a major crash in West El Paso.
It happened just before 12 noon on the east bound lanes of I-10, near the Resler onramp overpass. Officers say small green car collided witha tractor trailer. Emergency crews took the driver of the cartoa local hospital. That person was suffering from serious injuries, police said.
Trafficwas blocked off toone lane, and the police closed the eastbound lanes of theinterstate at 1:30 p.m.to allow special traffic investigators to take measurements ofthescene and clare the debris.
Traffic was diverted to N. Mesa and Doniphan until the highway was reopened at 3:45p.m.
