7-Year-Old Girl Ejected In Crash
EL PASO — A seven-year-old girl was seriously injured in a traffic crash Thursday night. Police said the girl was thrown out of the SUV she was riding in when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over.
Investigatorssaid 24-year old Miriam Alonso was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy on Gateway East in the left lane of traffic. Investigators believe that Alonso was fatigued and veered left off the roadway. Alonso then overcorrected losing control of the vehicle and causing it to overturn.
A total of four people in the black GMC were rushed to Thomason Hospital’s Trauma Center.
