Tax Help
EL PASO, Texas – The deadline to file your 2007 taxes is approaching. You have until April 15 to file your forms. If you need help, you can get it Saturday, March 29. If you are not normally required to file a federal income tax return, you can this year, so you receive the 2007 stimulus payments.
Fourteen volunteer sites across El Paso will offer services to those needing assistance.
This is a nationwide effort by the Internal Revenue Service, known as “Super Saturday,” to reach out to those who will file a return solely to receive their recovery rebate. Families qualify for the economic stimulus payment if they receive income of at least $3,000. Qualifying income is incluces earned income, Social Security benefits, disabled veterans benefits, and benefits for widows of disabled veterans.
