AP: Corpse Hanged Near Bar In Ciudad Juarez
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) – Police say they have found a corpse hanging on a fence by a nightclub parking lot in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez.
Juarez media report that it is the “77” club, the same place where eight people, including two men from El Paso,werekilled on Aug. 17.
The body was found late Monday after police received an anonymous call.
The metropolis across the border from El Paso, Texas, is Mexico’s most violent city, with more than 1,300 people killed this year despite the presence of thousands of federal troops and police. Much of the violence is tied to the drug trade.
