Drunk Fans Most Of 37 Arrested At Cowboys Game
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Arlington police say a few fans got a bit too rowdy during the Dallas Cowboys’ first regular-season debut at their new stadium.
Officers made 37 arrests Sunday night relating to the Cowboys’ game at the new retractable-roof stadium in Arlington.
Thirty arrests were for public intoxication. Two arrests were for public intoxication assault and another was for assault. There also was one drunken driving arrest.
That’s still a small number of arrests considering that more than 105,100 people attended the game – the largest crowd ever for a National Football League regular-season game.
Before the game, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, handled the coin toss, then watched from a luxury suite. The Cowboys lost to the Giants 33-31.
