Body Found Near Burning Truck In Fabens Identified
El Paso County Sheriff’s Investigators have released the identity of the victim found dead in San Felipe Park in Fabens on Oct. 2, 2010.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Christopher Morales of Socorro, Texas.
Sheriff’s Detectives continue treating this unattended death as they would a homicide until ruled otherwise.. At this time, detectives cannot confirm if this suspicious death is in fact a homicide as autopsy results are pending.
There is nothing to indicate or suggest this incident is linked to any drug cartel / border violence, sheriff’s officials said.
On Oct. 2, sheriff’s deputies were sent to the park in reference to a pickup truck engulfed in flames. The deputies looked in the area near the truck and found the body about 50 feet away.
