Downtown Sidewalks Become An Art Canvas This Weekend

Local artists will put their spin on a traditional Italian technique this weekend when Downtown sidewalks become a giant canvas at Chalk The Block.

This year, Chalk the Block will include chalk art, robotic sculpture, interactive green art, projection art on downtown’s Chase building, gigantic puppets, aerialists flying through the air, stilt walkers towering over you, among other things.

Music this year will include Japanese band Peelander-Z, along with several local bands.

Other attractions will include food, a huge interactive kid zone, urban skate area for the daredevils, art vendors for the shopaholics, and much more.

Chalk the Block is free and is Friday through Sunday.
