Man Dies After Running Red Light, Crashing Into Bus
Officers said a man died after he ran a red light and crashed into a city bus Friday evening on the east side of El Paso.
Police said Juan Ledesma, 31, was driving a Toyota Camry at a high rate of speed east in the 11000 block of Montwood around 7 p.m. Friday.
According to witnesses, Ledesma ran a red light and then rear-ended a Sun Metro bus. He was rushed to University Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries.
No injuries were reported among passengers on the bus at the scene.
Police suspect speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
