UPDATE: Lower Valley Wreck Injures 4

A wreck in El Paso’s lower valley injured four people at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Loop 375 near mile marker 45, according to authorities.

The El Paso Police Department said in a press release that a Lincoln Navigator was traveling southbound on Loop 375 and went across the median and collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler that was traveling northbound.

The driver of the Navigator, Jose Bravo, 23, as well as the driver of the Jeep, Javier Gomez, 23, were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Two passengers in the Navigator, Maria Gallardo, 35, and Jorge Betancourt, 35, were also taken to the hospitals

According to police, alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash.
