Tonight’s High School Football Games

El Paso, TX – Thursday night could be make or break for one high school team. Coming off three straight losses, the Bowie Bears are hoping to get back on track against El Paso High. On the other side of town, Franklin and El Dorado will square off in a matchup of 5A powers.

The Cougars and Aztecs feature very potent offenses, so the game could come down to key plays on defense. Franklin is 5-1, El Dorado is 4-2. Both teams are likely to make the playoffs, but whoever wins tonight will have a better shot at taking the 1-5A title. Kick-off is at 7:00 pm at the SAC.

In South El Paso, Bowie will be looking to break a three game losing streak. The Bears are coming off a big loss against Chapin. Now 1-3 in district play, tonight is likely a must-win game. El Paso, meanwhile, has three district wins. A victory would put them in good position to lock up a playoff spot. Kick-off at Baty Simmang on the Bowie campus is also set for 7:00 pm.

ABC-7 will have highlights from both games in sports at 10 o’clock. You can also listen to live, play-by-play coverage on the radio, on 600 AM KROD.
