Sex Offender Tracker Apps
Parents aren’t just worried about cavities from their children eating too much candy on Halloween.
Another concern is knowing where registered sex offenders live so they can avoid trick or treating at those homes.
Several sex offender tracker apps, some free and some for a fee, are offered on iTunes and Android, the newest of which is pitched by Internet sensation Antoine Dodson. Dodson scared off an intruder who was trying to sexually assault his sister in her bedroom in Alabama.
A television interview with Dodson about the incident went viral thanks to memorable quotes from Dodson telling people to, “Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband, cause they rapin’ everybody up in here.”
The Sex Offender Tracker App is $1.99 and offers an “augmented reality” view of where the registered sex offenders live. Watch video of the app here.
