El Paso Police Say Man Was Acting As Good Samaritan When 2 Men Killed Him

El Paso Police say 15-year-old Angel Cuevas stepped in as a good Samaritan to help robbery victims the night he was killed.

According to police officials, Cuevas had been made aware that Bryan Johnson, Hugo Gonzalez, and a juvenile had robbed several people on the evening of Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 in the ditch area behind Carmike Theaters.

Cuevas attempted to intervene when Johnson and Gonzalez allegedly beat him to the ground and Gonzalez then allegedly stabbed Cuevas while he was on the ground, killing him.

Warrants for Capital Murder have been secured for Johnson and Gonzalez. Police are asking any person with information as to the whereabouts of Johnson or Gonzalez to call police at 915.832.4400 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 915.566.8477.
