Sugar Detox: Day 7
Day 7: Cheater, cheater, yogurt eater.
Days off are the hardest by far to stay true to my lifestyle changes. Not only did I spend the day grazing on granola, SunChips and (*eek*) a Tootsie Roll Pop, but I also made a big mistake without even knowing it.
I bought yogurt last week without checking the label. I always just assumed yogurt was super-healthy and therfore a safe bet.
Boy was I wrong.
I had a Yoplait strawberry cheesecake yogurt cup thinking I was being good. When I was finished, I read the label out of curiosity, and it turns out it had 26 grams of sugar.
I might as well have had a Coke in terms of sugar content.
The worst part of today is the fact that I have no idea what to make for dinner. None. Cooking with sugar and healthy habits in mind is really hard. It takes more effort and more money. I’m headed to SunHarvest with Jack to see if we can get creative.
On a positive note, tonight Shedding For the Wedding premiers on The CW at 8 p.m. MST. I find these kind of shows really motivating.
Plus the promos are full of cake, which happens to be my favorite part of weddings.
