Manhunt Monday 02/28/11: Gabriel Roman

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted for a recent Auto Theft in Horizon City, TX. The target is identified as GABRIEL ROMAN (20) of El Paso, TX.

FEBRUARY 2011 On Sunday, February 6, 2011, a vehicle was reported stolen from the 14000 block of Bryce in Horizon City, TX. The following day 02/07, Horizon City Police Detectives were contacted by Socorro PD dispatch reference the stolen vehicle having been located at a home in the 10900 block of Lydia in Socorro, TX. Detectives arrived at the residence & met with the homeowners. Detectives were told that the night before (02/06) GABRIEL ROMAN who is an acquaintance, dropped off the vehicle and asked if he could leave it there because he was too drunk to drive home. Detectives checked the vehicle for latent prints & found 2 matching GABRIEL ROMAN. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for ROMAN for the offense of UNAUTHHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE.

Authorities nearly had ROMAN last week as he was set to meet with his Probation Officer. ROMAN was tipped off that authorities were looking for him & failed to report to his Probation Officer – fleeing in a Green SUV (unknown make / model).

ROMAN has a an extensive criminal history. He has previous arrests for POSSESSION OF COCAINE, ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, & FAILURE TO IDENTIFY. ROMAN knows he is wanted & continues to elude capture. ROMAN is believed to remain in the Borderland area hiding with friends or relatives in El Paso, TX.
