Fight Between Neighbors Ends With Two Men Stabbed

Two men were stabbed Tuesday afternoon as a result of a fight between neighbors at an east El Paso home, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Police said 25-year-old Jesus Vasquez stabbed 27-year-old David Acevedo and 22-year-old Eric Acevedo just before 4 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 1000 block of Burges Drive.

The three men were arguing when police said Vasquez armed himself with a knife and stabbed Eric Acevedo in the shoulder, and then stabbed David Acevedo in the stomach. Vasquez fled the scene to his home after police tried to meet with him.

Police have not released the conditions of the victims.

Police said they arrested Vasquez in the backyard of his home. Vasquez was later charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the El Paso County Jail on an $80,000 bond.
