Police Ask For Help In Finding 16-Year-Old Girl

The El Paso Police Department is asking for help in locating a 16-year-old girl who went missing Wednesday.

Police describe Janet Burciaga as Hispanic, 5 foot to 5 foot 2 inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Burciaga was last seen wearing a blue Hollister logo hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Investigators believe she is with her boyfriend, 18-year-old Joe Soto. Joe is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Soto went to Austin High School on Wednesday just before 9 a.m., and met Burciaga at the school and left with her.

Neither teen has been heard from since.
