35-Year-Old Man Arrested, Allegedly Tagged Dumpster

A Central El Paso man is arrested after he allegedly is caught tagging a dumpster and then running from officers.

According to El Paso Police officials, officers from the department’s central patrol were on patrol in the early hours of Saturday morning, when officers spotted a man in an alley along the 3600 block Pershing.

When the officers approached the man, later identified as 35-year-old Benjamin Luna, he immediately ran from the officers. Officers were able to catch Luna in a yard a few blocks away and take him into custody.

EPPD officials add that officers investigated the situation and were able to establish that prior to running from the officers, Luna had “tagged” a large trash dumpster.

Luna was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. He was charged with one count of Evading Arrest and one count of Graffiti. His total bond was set at $1,500.00.
