2 Fort Bliss Soldiers Killed In Afghanistan

Two Fort Bliss soldiers were killed while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, according to the Department of Defense.

Officials said Spc. Kedith L. Jacobs, 21, of Denver, and Pfc. Leroy Deronde III, 22, of Jersey City were killed when their unit was attacked by enemy forces in the Chak-E Wardak District of Afghanistan on May 27th.

Spc. Jacobs was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.

Pfc. Deronde was assigned to F Company, 125th Brigade Support Battalion attached to 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.
