Order In Spanish, Get A Free Pizza At Pizza Patron

Pizza Patron will be giving out free pizzas today to people who order in Spanish — while supplies last.

Customers who order in Spanish between 5 and 8 p.m. will receive a large pepperoni pizza at participating locations.

The free pizzas are part of a campaign called “Pizza Por Favor,” which celebrates the brand’s focus on Hispanics, and to reinforce positive attitudes towards the change immigrant communities have made through out America.

“Spanish is the language that is the most common bond that unites all Hispanics and we want to celebrate this in a fun way,” said Ernesto Hernandez, an El Paso Pizza Patron franchisee.

Andrew Gamm, brand director of Pizza Patron, said free product promotions have been around for a long time for Pizza Patron, but he had never heard of a company rewarding its customers for speaking Spanish.

“For us, ‘Pizza Por Favor’ makes a great business sense. It is an opportunity for us to strengthen the relationship we have with our core customer,” Gamm said.

The promotion also features the word “pizza” spelled with a “c” making the text read, “picza por favor (pronounced “PEEK-ZA).

The famous pizza company also made news in 2007 when the company started accepting Mexican pesos at its U.S. locations as form of payment.
