Driver killed in rollover crash in far East El Paso County

A man was killed Sunday after he lost control of his truck and it rolled multiple times in East El Paso County.

El Paso County Sheriff’s officials said they believe the man was traveling upwards of 90 miles an hour on I-10 East, near the Tornillo exit just before noon.

Investigators said the driver was already dead by the time the ambulance and firefighters arrived.

Witnesses said the truck attempted to pass two lanes of traffic before it rolled over.

The driver, who has not been identified, was wearing a seatbelt.
