Sunland Park librarian arrested, accused of voter fraud

Sunland Park’s librarian was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is accused of voter fraud

New Mexico State Police arrested Luz Vargas at the library..

According to District Attorney Amy Orlando, Vargas was registering people to vote who do not live in Sunland Park and subsequently voted in the city’s March election.

She has been charged with several counts of voter fraud — a fourth degree felony.
