Ysleta ISD, majority of its campus did not meet No Child Left Behind standards

The Ysleta Independent School District and 41 campuses will miss Adequate Yearly Progress or AYP in 2012, according to a district news release.

Eighteen campuses will meet AYP. The district and 30 campuses will be Year 1 with no sanctions applied. Eleven campuses will move into Stage 1.

AYP standards for 2012 were 87 percent for reading and 83 percent for math.

The district met reading in the all student group with an 87 percent proficiency rate. The district had an 83 percent proficiency rating in math in the all student group.

The graduation rate was 84.9 percent, above thee required 75 percent target.
