Movies in the Canyon schedule announced, starts Aug. 17
The El Paso Convention & Performing Arts Centers has announced the lineup for the free outdoor movie series Movies in the Canyon which will return to McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre for its fourth season Friday, August through October 20.
More than 16,000 attend the movie series last year. This season will feature 20 movies shown for free on Fridays and Saturdays.
Some of the films scheduled include “Transformers,” “Hitch,” “E.T.,” and “Puss in Boots.”
Movie-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or light jacket in case it cools off in the Canyon. Plus, you can get your popcorn, soft drinks and favorite movie snacks at the concession stand. No outside food or beverage may be brought into the movies. The McKelligon Canyon complex also offers plenty of free parking.
