Labor Day closings

City of El Paso – In observance of the Labor Day holiday, City Hall and all municipal offices will be closed on Monday. City Hall will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 and the regularly scheduled City Council meeting will begin at 8 a.m. Below is a list of City departments and services that will be closed on Labor Day. The holiday schedule is posted on the Labor Day holiday closures banner at www.elpasotexas.gov

CLOSED

– Community and Human Development

– El Paso Museum of Art, Archaeology, History of DIGIE

– El Paso Public Libraries

– Municipal Court and bond

– Parks and Recreation preschool and day care programs

OPEN

-Sun Metro’s regular (fixed route) and LIFT (paratransit) service to run on a Sunday schedule

-Animal Services Shelter, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

-El Paso Zoo

-Indoor and outdoor aquatic centers and pools

City of Las Cruces– Labor Day Schedule

City Hall and most other city of Las Cruces offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Police and fire services will not be affected.

-RoadRUNNER Transit Services

– Thomas Branigan Memorial Library

– All museums

El Paso Independent School District, Ysleta ISD, Socorro ISD, Canutillo ISD, Clint ISD, Tornillo ISD, Las Cruces ISD, Gadsden ISD. are all closed Labor Day.

UTEP, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso Community College, and New Mexico State University are all closed Labor Day.

Dona Ana County administrative offices will be closed Monday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected. Dona Ana County will have saturation patrols and checkpoints throughout the holiday weekend to apprehend impaired drivers.
