Rex Holt of GuyRex beauty queen fame on life support
ABC-7’s news partners El Paso Inc. reported Wednesday that Rex Holt, half of the famous El Paso pageant team of GuyRex, died in California on Wednesday of a heart attack.
Richard Guy, Holt’s lifelong partner, told ABC-7’s Estela Casas that Holt is not dead but is on life support. Doctors told him they don’t believe he has any brain activity.
Guy said he is hoping for a miracle but that he needs to accept God’s will. Holt is 74.
GuyRex was the creative force behind 29 Miss El Paso contests and 16 Miss Texas pageants. They coached six young women to become Miss USA pageant winners, including five in a row.
