Police investigate possible homicide in El Paso’s Lower Valley

Police began an investigation on a possible homicide Saturday evening.

Officials say the call came in at 4 p.m. to the 8200 hundred block of Carpenter Street after a family member discovered 38-year-old woman unresponsive.

Police say the cause of death is unknown but because of the suspicious nature of the death crimes against persons and the medical examiner are investigating the scene. They are considering the death a possible homicide.

The name of the woman will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Neighbors who didn’t want to be on camera tell ABC-7 they have seen a rise in criminal activity in the area within the past few months.
