El Paso tattoo artist the winner of Skin Wars competition

El Paso native Rick Uribe was the winner of Skin Wars, GSN’s hit body painting competition.

The 20-year-old is the youngest painter in Skin Wars history. Uribe outperformed 11 other talent body painters from around the country and won three of the ten weekly challenges. He was a runner-up in three others.

Uribe is a tattoo artist, body painter and muralist by trade who grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and now calls El Paso home. Uribe has painted more than 20 colorful murals across the city.

The body painter won $100,000 prize last night, a custom-made stencil line from “Bad Ass Stencils” with his name on it, and an all-expense paid trip for two to the prestigious World Body Painting Festival in Austria, which begins Friday, July 1st.

Skin Wars is the first-ever body painting competition show and GSN’s most-watched original series ever.
