UTEP Soccer led by quiet success of Coach Cross

UTEP Soccer Head Coach Kevin Cross bleeds orange and blue through and through.

“I love this team,” Cross said. “It means even more to me. It’s like I got UTEP orange blood now, it’s part of my soul.”

Cross has coached the team for the past 16 years, with just one losing season under his command. All the players said they wouldn’t want to play for anyone else.

“He makes it fun and brings so much energy to practice every day, and is just a coach you want to play for,” one UTEP soccer player said.

Under Coach Cross, the Miners have gone an impressive 184-101-21, but Cross is far from satisfied.

“I still haven’t achieved my goal yet,” Cross said. “I want to win a championship here, and here only.”
